from Bring The Noise by Public Enemy. This song was the only
rock
top 20 hit for Space Monkeys. The group received
slight radio airplay with other songs, like Blowing Down The
Stylus.
Are You Jimmy
Ray was the only top
20 song for Jimmy Ray. This song was a fast riser
on the charts, but Jimmy Ray did not have another noticeable
song out.
A few months
before I Don't Ever Want To See You Again became the only top
20 hit for Uncle Sam, he received minor soul radio airplay with
Can You Feel It.
The Mummers'
Dance was the only top
20 hit and was also a near rock top 20 miss for Loreena
McKennitt. She did not received noticeable airplay with any
other song.
Bitter Sweet
Symphony borrowed from The Last Time by Andrew Oldham Orchestra,
which was originally by The
Rolling Stones. Due to a lawsuit against the group,
the copyright holder received 75% of the royalties. This song
was the greatest pop and rock hit by The
Verve and one of two rock top 20 hits. The Verve
song was from the album Urban Hymns.
The instrumental
song Southampton was the only top
20 song by James Horner. He had no other songs that
received mentionable airplay. The song was from the movie The
Titanic.
Surfer Girl
was the most popoular song for alternative group Homegrown.
The group received very slight radio airplay with other songs
too, like When It All Comes Down. Surfer Girl was from the album
Act Your Age.
From Your Mouth
was the only rock
top 20 hit for God Lives Underwater. The group received
slight radio airplay with other songs too, like Don't Know How
To Be. From Your Mouth was from the album Life In The So-Called
Space Age.
