Breakfast At
Tiffany's was followed-up with the song Halo, which received
minor radio airplay a few weeks later. Breakfast At Tiffany's
was from the album Home.
Drown was the
only rock
top 20 hit for Son Volt. The group received slight
radio airplay with other songs too, like Back To Your World.
Drown was from the album Trace.
Although Everything
Falls Apart was the only pop or rock top 20 hit for Dog's
Eye View, the group received some radio airplay with
the follow-up Small Wonders. Both songs were from the album
Happy Nowhere. Peter Stuart wrote the song.
Adam Clayton
& Larry Mullen were members of U2.
As a side-project, this instrumental
was the duo's only top 20 song. Lalo Schifrin wrote the song.
The song was from the movie Mission: Impossible.
Here In Your
Bedroom was the only rock top 20 song for alternative group
Goldfinger, who had a string of popular songs including 2002
rock top 20 near miss Open Your Eyes.
Los Del Rio
recorded different versions of MacArena for years before the
Bayside Boys Mix version reached number
one on the top 20. The song became a dance craze,
a top 20 one
hit wonder, and the 1996
top song of the year. A few months later, MacArena Christmas
received some notice.
The
Refreshments followed up Banditos with the song Down
Together which received some alternative music radio airplay.
Both songs were from the original album Fizzy Fuzzy Big &
Buzzy>.
Sucked Out was
the only rock
top 20 hit for Superdrag. The group followed-up with
Destination Ursa Major, which received slight airplay. Sucked
Out was from the album Regretfully Yours.
Standing Outside
A Broken Phone Booth With Money In My Hand was a number
one rock hit, the top
rock song of the year, and the only rock
top 20 hit for Primitive Radio Gods. The group followed-up
with Motherfucker, which, even in the edited version, received
virtually no radio airplay. The song was from the album Rocket.
Popular was
the only rock
top 20 hit for Nada Surf. The group returned to some
airplay nearly ten years later with the song Always Love. Popular
was from the album High/Low.
Ocean was the
only rock
top 20 hit for Sebadoh. The group followed-up with
Beauty Of The Ride, which received very slight radio airplay.
Ocean was from the album Harmacy.
Novocaine For
The Soul was the only rock top 20 entry for eels, and a pop
top 20 near miss. Last Stop: This Town peaked at rock number
30. The song was from the album Beautiful Freak.
Stuck On You
squeezed onto the rock chart, reaching number 30. Previously,
Undone received some airplay, but did not chart. Stuck On You
was from the album Fantastic Planet.
