Although I Love
You Period was the only pop top 30 song and the only rock top
20 hit for Dan
Baird, the follow-up, The One I Am, received some
pop and rock radio airplay. I Love You Period was from the album
Love Songs For The Hearing Impaired.
Rebirth Of Slick
(Cool Like Dat) was the only top 20 hit by Digable
Planets. Digable Planets had a few other songs that
received some rap radio airplay.
The Right Kind
Of Love was the only top 20 hit for Jeremy Jordan. The follow-up,
Wannagirl, was a top 20 near miss. The Right Kind Of Love was
from the movie Beverly Hills 90210.
Supermodel (You
Better Work) just barely made the top 30, peaking at number
30. RuPaul never had another top 30 song, but had a string of
popular dance songs.
Although Ditty
was the only top 20 hit for Paperboy,
the song Bumpin' (Adaptation Of Humpin') received some rap and
soul radio airplay a few months later.
Rap group Cypress
Hill was a one
hit wonder on the pop top 20 with Insane In The Brain.
Cypress Hill was also a rock one hit wonder, with 2000number
2 rock hit (Rock) Superstar. Cypress Hill had many
popular rap songs too.
What Is Love
was the only top 20 hit for dance performer Haddaway. The follow-up,
Life (Everybody Needs Somebody To Love), peaked at number 21.

In 1993, there
were three popular songs called Rain or The Rain. Blind
Melon was the only act to sing about no rain.
Although No Rain was the only pop top 20 song for the group,
Blind Melon had a few other popular rock top 20 songs. No Rain
was from the album Blind Melon.
