Although More
Than Just The Two Of Us was the only top 30 song by Sneaker,
the group also released Don't Let Me In, which received minor
pop and rock radio airplay.
Must Be The
Music was the most popular song by Secret Weapon. The group
also received slight radio play with other songs like DJ Man.
Group leader Jerome Prister also had his own songs out.
Pac-Man Fever
referred to a popular game during the video game craze in the
early 80s. Although Pac-Man Fever was the only top 30 song by
Buckner & Garcia, the group followed up with the minor radio
played song Do The Donkey Kong, also about a video game.
Take Off featured
guest performer Geddy Lee from Rush. While Take Off was the
most popular song and a rock
number 2 hit for Bob & Doug McKenzie, the duo received
radio airplay with other novelty songs too, like The Twelve
Days Of Christmas.
Chariots Of
Fire, the theme of the movie, was the only top 20 song for Vangelis.
Vangelis went on to join Jon Anderson of Yes as Jon And Vangelis.
The duo hit the rock top 20 three times.
Although Genius
Of Love was the biggest pop song by Tom
Tom Club, the group had a string of popular dance
songs. In 1995, Mariah
Carey borrowed from Genius Of Love on her number
one pop song Fantasy.
Right The First
Time was a rock top 20 one
hit wonder for Gamma. The group received moderate
rock airplay with other songs, including the 1980 rock top 20
near miss I'm Alive. The group featured Ronnie Montrose.
I'll Drink To
You was the most popular song and a number
19 rock hit for Duke Jupiter, whose second most popular
song, Little Lady, was not nearly as famous.
Although Goin'
Down was the only top
20 hit by Greg
Guidry, the follow-up, Into My Love, received minor
radio airplay. Goin' Down was from the album Over The Line.
I've Never Been
To Me was first released in 1977 and received minor radio
play. The song was released again in 1982, and became a number
4 hit.
Although this was the only top 20 song by Charlene, she had
a few other songs that received minor radio airplay including
Used To Be, a duet with Stevie
Wonder.
This song was from the album I've Never Been To Me.
I Know What
Boys Like was the only rock top 20 song for The Waitresses.
Late in the same year, The Waitresses received extensive play
with the song Christmas Wrapping.
Although Fantasy
was by far the greatest hit by Aldo Nova, being his only top
30 song and only rock number one
or rock
top 20 hit, Aldo Nova had other rock top 20 hits
like Monkey On Your Back.
I Want Candy
was a rock top 20 one
hit wonder for Bow Wow Wow, a popular alternative
and dance group. The song was previously a 1965 number 11 pop
hit for The
Strangeloves.
A popular Soft
Cell version of Tainted Love was a medley with The Supremes
song Where Did Our Love Go. Soft Cell received airplay with
other alternative songs too. In 1964, Gloria
Jones made a soul version of Tainted Love. Others
did the song too, like Impedance, The Living End, and Marilyn
Manson. Soft Cell's Tainted Love was from the album Non-Stop
Erotic Cabaret.
Although Love
Plus One was the greatest hit by Haircut
One Hundred, and the group's only rock top 20 hit,
Haircut One Hundred had two other songs that received minor
radio play. Love Plus One was from the album Pelican West.
Dancing In Heaven
(Orbital Be-Bop) was the most popular song for dance duo Q-Feel.
Another song, Heroes Never Die, also received slight airplay.
In 1995, member Martin
Page had a solo number

Nails. The group received lesser airplay with other songs like
Cops Are Punks. Eightyeight Lines About Fourtyfour Women was
