of The Pledge Of Allegiance came from a popular, acclaimed speech
on the TV show The Red Skelton Hour. The speech was pressed
on a record, and received moderate radio airplay.
Crazy Elephant
was a production of Ohio Express members Jerry Kasenetz and
Jeff Katz, a duo that produced other near one
hit wonder groups. The lead singer for Crazy Elephant
was Robert Spencer, also in The Cadillacs. Gimme Gimme Good
Lovin' was the only top 20 hit for Crazy Elephant. The group
had other songs that received minor radio airplay too.
Although Love
(Can Make You Happy) was the only top 20 hit for Mercy, the
group received minor radio airplay for other songs like Hello
Baby. Love (Can Make You Happy) was from the movie Fireball
Jungle.

In The Year
2525 was recorded in 1964, but became popular around
the time of the first manned moon landing. Although the song
took a long time to make it, it was written in about half an
hour. This song became a number one hit and the only top
20 song for the duo. Zagar & Evans received slight airplay for
other songs like Mr.
Turnkey.
Although My
Pledge Of Love was the only top 20 hit for The Joe Jeffrey Group,
the group received minor airplay with other songs like My Baby
Loves Lovin', which was more famous as by White
Plains. Joe Stafford wrote the song.

The top 20 near
miss song Good Old Rock 'N Roll was a tribute to late 1950s
and early 1960s rock and roll, including a medley of many popular
songs.
Cat Mother And The All Night News Boys received some radio airplay

In A Rainbow
was made famous when Sweetwater performed at the legendary weekend
rock concert Woodstock. Sweetwater broke up soon afterward.

20 hit for Steam. The group followed-up with I've Gotta Make
You Love Me, which received moderate airplay.
