Midnight Mary
was the only top 20 hit for wrestling instructor and TV exercise
show producer Joey Powers. He followed-up with Billy Old Buddy,
which received slight radio airplay.
Although Popsicles
And Icicles was the only top 20 hit for The Murmaids, the group
followed-up with Heartbreak Ahead, which received slight radio
airplay. Popsicles And Icicles was written by David
Gates.
The instrumental song Penetration was the only top 20 hit
for The Pyramids.The group received slight airplay with other
songs like Midnight Run. Steve Leonard wrote the song.
The song about
fairytale character Rip Van Winkle received moderate radio airplay
for The Devotions. The group did not receive noticeable radio
airplay with any other song. Raymond Sanchez wrote the song.
We Love You
Beatles, a song tribute to The
Beatles, was the most popular song by The Carefrees.

number 6 with Desafinado, an instrumental song. The Girl From Ipanema was from the
album Getz/Gilberto.
Farmer John
was the most popular song by The Premiers. This song was originally
done by Don And Dewey, the writers, in 1959. The Premiers recorded
the song in a studio with a live audience. The Premiers received
minor airplay with other songs too like Get Your Baby. There
were other unrelated groups called The Premiers. Farmer John
LIVE was from the album Farmer John.
Mixed-Up, Shook-Up,
Girl was the only top 20 hit for Patty And The Emblems. The
group received minor radio airplay with other songs too like
I'm Gonna Love You A Long, Long Time. Mixed-Up, Shook-Up, Girl
was written by Leon Huff.
Although Last
Kiss was the only top 20 hit for J. Frank Wilson, he received
minor airplay with other songs like Hey Little One and Six Boys.
