Staind was a rock group led by Aaron Lewis. The greatest hit by Staind was 2001 number 6 song It's Been Awhile. On the rock side, in 1999, Aaron Lewis with Fred Durst of Limp Bizkit performed the song Outside on his Family Values Tour. The tune was picked up by rock stations, and became a modern classic, even reaching number 12 rock. Upon more proper promotion and a video release, the song hit again and made it to number one rock eight months later. Finally, a studio version was released, and it made number 5 rock, giving Aaron Lewis and Staind three separate chart runs for the same song in less than a year. The follow-up, It's Been Awhile, became a five-week number one number one rock song.
