Prince was a pop and soul music writer, singer, and musician. At times, his music was by Prince And The Revolution and Prince And The New Power Generation. Prince was his given name at birth. Prince had a dispute with Warner Brothers records over the rights to his given name. During the period of the dispute, he was known as what he described to be the 'love symbol.' Prince songs were heavily recycled, including two album tracks that became hits for others. The 1980 song I Feel For You became a 1984 number 4 hit for Chaka Khan. The 1984 song Darling Nikki became a 2005 number 17 rock hit for Foo Fighters.
