Lifehouse was a Canadian rock and adult band. The greatest hit by Lifehouse was 2001 number one song Hanging By A Moment. Lifehouse held the number one spot for a single week with Hanging By A Moment, but became the only artist or group ever to make a single-week number one song the top song of the year. Lifehouse did this by holding onto number 2 for three more weeks while fast riser Lady Marmalade blocked Hanging By A Moment from remaining on top. Nevertheless, the song wound up more popular than any other song peaking in 2001. Lifehouse did not have another number one song.
